Its subsequent activities have included staging a conference roughly every other year which brings together regulators, the industry, scientists and others to present and discuss topics concerning risk, safety and environmental protection in the petroleum sector and renewable energy production offshore.
Australia’s National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (Nopsema), the current chair of the IRF, is hosting this year’s meeting at Perth in Western Australia from 3-4 October.
Because of the pandemic, five years have passed since the previous conference. In an extensive programme, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway – as one of the forum’s 11 members – will be contributing presentations and participating in panel debates.
