Equinor – Consent for exploration drilling in the North Sea

The drilling location is around 12 kilometres southeast of the Gudrun field.

Well 15/3-12 S, named “Sigrun East”, has the following geographical coordinates:

• 58º 46’ 53.25” N
• 01º 54’ 13.43” E

Water depth at the site is 109 metres.

Drilling is scheduled to begin in October 2019. The drilling operation is expected to last for 52 days.

The well will be drilled by West Phoenix, which is semi-submersible drilling facility of the Moss Maritime CS50 type, operated by North Atlantic Drilling (formerly Seadrill Management AS).
