The audit was conducted from 30 November to 1 December 2022.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify that Equinor has established robust emergency preparedness for major accidents that comply with the regulatory requirements, covering capacity and expertise, including requirements for and implementation of training and drills.

Result

One non-conformity was identified concerning marking and signage of escape routes to mustering stations in the outdoor area.

In addition, four improvement points were identified, concerning:

  • Procedure for the maintenance of firefighters’ clothing – maintenance, repair, replacement and verification
  • Training and drills
  • Rescue plan for entering tanks and enclosed spaces
