The audit was conducted between 13 December 2022 and 13 January 2023.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that ConocoPhillips, together with the drilling contractor and other contractors concerned, were planning and executing coiled tubing drilling on Ekofisk K in accordance with their own requirements, regulatory provisions and relevant standards.
Result
We identified three non-conformities during the audit. These concerned:
- Stop criteria for hydrocarbons in return stream
- Monitoring of well parameters
- Specification of availability of kill fluid
We also identified two improvement points. These concerned:
- Processing and use of data
- Unequivocal definition of responsibility
What happens next?
We have asked ConocoPhillips to report to us by 1 May 2023 on how the non-conformities will be addressed, and to give us their assessment of the improvement points identified.
