Gassco/Equinor – Kollsnes/Sture – major accident and maintenance management

The audit was conducted from 16 to 18 February 2022 at Kollsnes and Sture and is summarised in a joint report.

Equinor is the operator of Sture, while Gassco is the operator of Kollsnes, with Equinor as the technical service provider.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to monitor that the management of maintenance, including follow-up thereof and any ongoing changes relevant to this management, comply with the authorities’ and the companies’ own requirements. We also monitored how processes to improve maintenance management ensure that key contributors to HSE risk and uncertainty are identified and followed up.

Result

The audit identified one factor that we have chosen to categorize as an improvement point. This concerned:

• Technical condition and maintenance at the Sture terminal (Equinor)

What happens now?

We have asked Equinor for their assessment of the improvement point observed by 22 April 2022.
