From 10 to 17 June 2022, we carried out an audit of the management of emergency preparedness and helidecks at Gullfaks A and C; due to fog, the audit of Gullfaks C was postponed until November 2022. The report from Gullfaks A was published on 29 August 2022.

Due to the postponement, the audit of the helideck on Gullfaks C was conducted from 21 to 23 November 2022. The audit was performed with assistance from the Civil Aviation Authority Norway.


The objective of the audit was to verify that the helideck on Gullfaks C complies with the regulatory requirements so as to contribute to safe helicopter operations and transport of personnel. The objective was also to verify the design and outfitting of the helideck on the facility, and systems and documents relating to preparations for and operation of the helideck.


The audit identified a number of non-conformities/observations. These can be found in a separate non-conformity list from CAA Norway, under attachments on this page.
