The audit was conducted from 30 April to 7 May 2021
Objective
The objective of the audit was to assess how Vår Energi is ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements relating to the management of technical barriers and maintenance in the operation of the Goliat FPSO, within the domains of technical safety, process safety and maintenance management.
Result
Six non-conformities were identified, concerning:
- Barrier management
- Non-conformity handling
- Passive fire protection
- Overpressure protection
- Maintenance programme
- Procedures
In addition, three improvement points were identified, concerning:
- Classification of systems and equipment
- Alarm load in the control room
- Documentation for establishing performance requirements for some PSVs was unavailable
What happens next?
We have asked Vår Energi to report on how the non-conformities will be addressed. We have also asked the company for their assessment of the improvement points. The reply deadline is set at 19 August 2021.
