The audit was conducted from 18 to 24 February 2021.
Background
The audit was based on our processing of the plan for development and operation (PDO) and consent to use the Snorre Expansion Project (SEP).
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that Equinor’s management of the preparations for the start-up of SEP meet the company’s and the authorities’ requirements in order to reduce the likelihood of failures.
Result
One non-conformity was identified, concerning barriers defects for the subsea leak detection system.
In addition, two improvement points were identified, relating to:
- Overview of weaknesses in passive fire protection
- Non-conformity handling
What happens next?
We have asked Equinor to report on how the non-conformity will be addressed. The company has also been asked for its assessment of the improvement points observed. The deadline for this is set at 15 May 2021.
