The audit was conducted between 11 March and 5 October 2020 and focused on cranes, lifting equipment and materials handling at Heidrun.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to assess the company’s management of technical, operational and organisational factors within logistics at Heidrun. In addition, we wanted to follow up the technical condition and maintenance of lifting equipment. We measured these against the company’s own requirements and those of the authorities, in order to help reduce the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
Result
Three non-conformities were identified, relating to:
- Governing documents
- Unsecured lifting equipment
- Work under hanging loads
In addition, two improvement points were identified, relating to:
- Loading and storage decks
- Competence
What happens next?
We have asked Equinor to report on how the non-conformities will be addressed. We have also asked the company for their assessment of the improvement points observed. The deadline for reply is set at 20 April 2021.
