The audit was conducted by means of Microsoft Teams on 13 April 2021, with a primary focus on the decision concerning which development concept will be carried forward to the next phase, which is FEED.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that, in its management of the Halten Øst project, the operator is ensuring that issues relating to health, safety and the environment have been comprehensively and adequately elucidated before decisions are made, so as to reduce as far as possible the likelihood of failure, hazard and accident situations. We also wanted to monitor the Halten Øst project against the plan for development and operation (PDO), to give us a sound basis for processing the PDO.
Result
No non-conformities were identified during the audit.
One improvement point was identified related to staffing and competence.
What happens now?
We have asked Equinor to give us its assessment of the improvement point observed. The reply deadline is set at 25 May 2021.
