The audit was conducted with the assistance of the Norwegian Maritime Directorate between 31 January and 6 February 2020.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify the company’s compliance with the HSE regulations within the domain of emergency preparedness for Rowan Norway.
Result
Non-conformities were identified relating to:
- Fire protection
- Lifeboats
- Helicopter deck
- Signage and marking of evacuation routes
- Escape from lifts
In addition, improvement points were identified relating to:
- Emergency preparedness documentation
- Arrangements for the safety service
- Transfer of experience
What happens now?
We have asked Rowan to report on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement points observed. The reply deadline is set at 25 June 2020.
