Equinor – Mongstad – maintenance management

The audit was conducted from 27 May to 4 June 2020.

Background

An audit of Equinor Mongstad in 2019 identified two non-conformities relating to a deficient strategy for maintenance management and a lack of maintenance planning. The same audit also identified improvement points relating to better follow-up of maintenance programmes, classification of equipment and the assignment of maintenance concepts.

Objective

To monitor that the maintenance of management, including the follow-up of maintenance and any ongoing changes of significance for this management, comply with the authorities’ and Equinor’s own requirements. In addition, to verify that efforts to improve the management of maintenance are ensuring that important contributors to HSE risk and uncertainty are identified and followed up.

Result

The audit did not identify any non-conformities or improvement points.

What happens now?

We have asked Equinor for their assessment of the audit report. The deadline for this is set at 15 August 2020.
