Background
Equinor has discovered weaknesses in the light fixtures on the Johan Sverdrup field. In a meeting of 3 September 2019, we were informed of measures that the company had implemented. In the audit, these measures were verified and followed up.
Objective
The objective of the notified activity included verifying Equinor’s management and follow-up of safe and robust solutions, especially as concerns the integrity of light fixtures on the facilities.
Result
In the audit, we identified one regulatory non-conformity. This concerned the installation and commissioning of temporary lighting and a loudspeaker system. One improvement point was also identified relating to the maintenance programme and procedures for permanent and temporary lighting.
What happens now?
We have asked Equinor to report by 8 November 2019 on how the non-conformity will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement point.
