The audit was conducted between 29 October and 8 November 2018 and was related to Vår Energi’s application for a life extension for Balder.
On 29 October and from 6 to 8 November 2018, we conducted an audit of the management of the working environment and materials handling in connection with the life extension application for Balder.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to monitor the company’s management of materials handling, lifting operations and the technical condition of lifting equipment. There was also an objective of verifying that the company’s management aimed at qualifying Bader for continued operation complied with the regulatory requirements.
Result
The audit identified one non-conformity and five improvement points. The non-conformity concerned continuous improvement of the working environment at Baldur. The improvement points covered employee participation, materials handling, the follow-up of cranes, access and logistics planning.
We have asked Vår Energi to report on how the non-conformity will be addressed by 28 January 2019. We have also asked the company for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
