Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that Neptune’s management of working environment risk and arrangements for employee participation comply with the regulatory requirements.
We wanted to see how Neptune manages risk in connection with benzene exposure, noise exposure and exposure to factors that contribute to increased risk of musculoskeletal disorders. The audit also covered management of the psychosocial and organisational working environment at Gjøa.
Result
Two non-conformities were identified in connection with:
- Lack of overall assessment of working environment risk
- Management of risk linked to the psychosocial and organisational working environment
In addition, four improvement points were identified relating to:
- Health risks from benzene exposure
- Noise exposure harmful to hearing
- Employee participation
- Information about and training in the psychosocial and organisational working environment
Neptune has been given a deadline of 18 February 2019 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be addressed.
