Objective

The objective of the audit was to monitor how Equinor is managing working environment risk on the facility in order to protect its own employees and those of its contractors from exposure to health risks:

- to assess how the responsibility for working environment risk management is catered for.
- to assess how it is ensured that groups subject to high workplace stress have a proper and safe working environment.
- to monitor how the company uses the opportunity of a major modification to improve working environment standards on board (continuous improvement).

Result

Two non-conformities were identified relating to:

  • Manning
  • Noise

In addition, three improvement points were identified in connection with:

  • Chemical exposure
  • Employee participation
  • Mapping and follow-up of working environment risk

What happens next?


Equinor has been given a deadline of 31 October 2019 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be addressed.
