Njord A is currently at the Kværner Stord shipyard for modification.
The audit is part of our follow-up of the modification project for Njord A and B.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that Equinor is using the opportunity for improvements within materials handling and the working environment for the facilities at Njord that have been taken ashore for upgrading.
Result
The audit identified one non-conformity within the working environment domain and one non-conformity within materials handling and lifting equipment. These are:
- Deficient management of the working environment
- Lack of overarching materials handling philosophy
We also identified two improvement points within the domain of materials handling and lifting equipment. These are:
- Lack of compliance measurement between new and old regulations within materials handling
- Organisation of operationally responsible entity and the possibility of clarifying and managing prudently
What happens next?
We have asked Equinor to report on how they intend to address the non-conformities we have identified. We have also asked the company for its assessment of the improvement points we observed.
