Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify how the drilling contractor ensures and monitors that the company has adequate capacity and competence within drilling following major changes in the workforce composition. The PSA also wanted to see how North Atlantic Drilling (NAD) arranges for employee participation through participation in the working environment committee and the safety service on board.

Result

One non-conformity was identified in connection with functional testing.

In addition, six improvement points were identified linked to:

  • Training and competence
  • Mapping
  • Verification
  • Documentation
  • Classification
  • Drilling schedules.

NAD has been given a deadline of 19 August 2016 to report on how the non-conformity and improvement points will be dealt with.
