Objective
The West Epsilon mobile drilling facility was issued with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AOC) by the PSA in February 2002. As a step in the follow-up of compliance with regulatory requirements and the preconditions for the AOC, the PSA has conducted an audit in the domains of logistics and the working environment. This covers materials handling, lifting equipment and the safe use thereof.
Result
Non-conformities were identified in connection with:
- Responsibilities and authorities
- Competence
- Maintenance
- Mapping and risk assessment
- Measures
In addition, improvement points were identified in connection with:
- Materials handling
- Documentation
- Noise
- Language
- Crushing hazards
North Atlantic Management AS has been given a deadline of 25 February 2016 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be dealt with.
