The audit comprised aspects of the disciplines of logistics, maintenance, and wells and drilling.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify that the company is compliant with the regulatory requirements relating to logistics, maintenance, and wells and drilling, and the performance of an SPS.

Result

Non-conformities were identified in connection with:

  • Safe use of lifting equipment
  • Enterprise of competence
  • Unsecured lifting equipment
  • Maintenance management
  • Testing/recalibration of equipment
  • Preservation
  • Management and expertise

In addition, improvement points were identified in connection with:

  • Storage of forerunners
  • Emergency lowering of lifting equipment
  • Training
  • Well-control training

Non-conformity:

Entails that a condition is assessed as not complying with a regulatory requirement.

Improvement point:

Entails that we have identified a deficiency or weakness, without there being sufficient grounds for determining a breach of regulatory requirements.

Stena Drilling AS has been given a deadline of 15 December 2015 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be addressed.
