This is the second of two audits of the working environment on Stena Don.

The objective of the audit was to investigate how regulatory requirements for the working environment were being complied with. There was a further objective of verifying work in progress to improve identified working environment factors on the facility and the quality of Stena's own working environment mapping.

Result

Non-conformities were identified in connection with:

  • Mapping and risk assessment of catering staff
  • Evacuation

In addition, improvement points were identified in connection with:

  • Noise
  • Organisation of the workplace
  • Training and competence
  • Storage space for protective equipment
  • Lighting
  • Security signage and warning lights
  • Working environment area chart (WEAC)

Stena Drilling has been given a deadline of 15 December 2015 to report on how the non-conformity and improvement points will be dealt with. 

Non-conformity:

Entails that a condition is assessed as not complying with a regulatory requirement.

Improvement point:

Entails that we have identified a deficiency or weakness, without there being sufficient grounds for determining a breach of regulatory requirements.
