Transocean Norge is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the MMCS60 type. The facility was built in Singapore by Sembcorp Marine Ltd at the Jurong Shipyard (JSPL) between 2012 and 2016.

The facility is classified by DNV GL, and owned and operated

by Transocean.

Decision

In the PSA’s assessment, petroleum activities can be performed using the Transocean Norge facility within the regulatory framework.

Our decision is based on the information provided in the AoC application concerning the technical condition of the facility and the applicant's organisation and management system, as well as the authorities' verifications and other case processing.

The validity of the Acknowledgement of Compliance assumes that Transocean ensures that the facility and relevant parts of the company’s organisation and management systems are maintained so as to fulfil the terms and conditions set out in the PSA’s decision.
