What is an AoC?
An Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) is a statement from the PSA expressing the authorities' confidence that a petroleum activity can be performed by the facility within the regulatory framework.
It is the PSA's assessment that petroleum activities may be carried out using the Petrojarl Knarr FPSO facility within the regulatory framework. The decision is based on the information provided in the AoC application concerning the technical condition of the facility and the applicant's organisation and management system, as well as the authorities' verifications and other case processing.
The validity of this Acknowledgement of Compliance assumes that Teekay Petrojarl Production AS ensures that the facility and relevant parts of the company’s organisation and management system remain compliant with the regulatory requirements, and that the terms and conditions set out in the PSA’s decision are fulfilled.
