On 2 May 2019, Odfjell Drilling received the PSA's Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) for the Deepsea Nordkapp mobile facility.
Deepsea Nordkapp is a 6th generation semi-submersible drilling facility of the Moss Maritime CS 60E type.
The facility was built by Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea and completed in 2019.
Deepsea Nordkapp is owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling. It is registered in Bermuda and classified by DNV GL.
Decision
The Acknowledgement of Compliance means that Deepsea Nordkapp and relevant parts of Odfjell Drilling's organisation and management system have been assessed as fulfilling applicable requirements in the petroleum regulations.
The decision is based on the information provided in the AoC application concerning the technical condition of the facility and the applicant's organisation and management system, as well as the authorities' verifications and other case processing.
The validity of the Acknowledgement of Compliance assumes that Odfjell Drilling AS ensures that the facility and relevant parts of the company’s organisation and management systems are maintained so as to fulfil the terms and conditions set out in our decision.
