AKOFS Seafarer was originally a supply ship built at the STX Europe Søviknes shipyard in 2010. AKOFS Seafarer has now been converted to a well intervention vessel. The facility is classified by DNV GL and is Norwegian flagged.

AKOFS Seafarer is owned and operated by AKOFS Offshore which undertakes well intervention and subsea installations in Norway and internationally.

Decision

It is the PSA's assessment that petroleum activities may be carried out using the AKOFS Seafarer facility within the regulatory framework.

Our decision is based on the information provided in the AoC application concerning the technical condition of the facility and the applicant's organisation and management system, as well as the authorities' verifications and other case processing.

The validity of the Acknowledgement of Compliance assumes that AKOFS ensures that the facility and relevant parts of the company’s organisation and management systems are maintained so as to fulfil the terms and conditions set out in the PSA’s decision.
