Songa Delta has been granted Acknowledgement of Compliance

10.06.2009 | The mobile facility Songa Delta was granted the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway's (PSA's) Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) on 5 June 2009.

Songa Delta  is a 3rd generation mobile drilling facility of the type Ocean Ranger, completed at Rauma Repola (Finland) in 1981. It has previously held an AoC under the name Deepsea Delta  (linkbox). It was then owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling AS (Odfjell) in Bergen.

Songa Delta is still operated by Odfjell, but has been bought by Songa Management AS in Stavanger.

The facility has received a new AoC diploma based on its name change.

The validity of this Acknowledgement of Compliance is based on the assumption that Odfjell will ensure that the facility and relevant parts of the company's organisation and management system are maintained, so that conditions and assumptions in the PSA's decision are complied with.
