NSOAF-report about common audits of mobile drilling units

08.12.2003 | Five North Sea countries are represented in a working group established by the North Sea Offshore Authorities Forum (NSOAF). The goal for the working group is to develop arrangements that may improve health, environment and safety on mobile offshore units, and to simplify the movement of such units across the shelf borders.

As part of this work, the countries represented in the working group conduct common audits of mobile drilling units on the different countries' shelves.

The last audit was finalized in the end of 2002. The key issues for the audit was lifting equipment and lifting operations, falling objects and manual handling.

A common composite report has been prepared, and is now available on the web site. (English version only)
