New wage rates - Regulations relating to general application

The wage rates in the Regulations relating to general application of wage agreements have been revised as a consequence of the intermediate settlement for 2007. The new rates are:


For construction sites in Norway:

Regulations of 21 November 2006 No. 1291 relating to general application of wage agreements for construction sites in Norway

Employees who perform construction work shall receive a minimum hourly wage of:

a) For skilled employees: NOK 134.75.
b) For unskilled employees without industry experience: NOK 120.50.
For unskilled employees with at least one year of industry experience: NOK 125.50.
c) For employees under the age of 18: NOK 81.00.

For certain petroleum facilities on land:

Regulations of 26 June 2006 No. 703 relating to general application of wage agreements for certain petroleum facilities on land.

Wage provisions for employees in the engineering and technology industry

1. Employees in the engineering and technology industry shall receive a minimum hourly wage of:

a) For skilled employees: NOK 119.50.
b) For unskilled employees: NOK 114.06.

2. The following supplement to the hourly wage shall be paid for assignments requiring employees to be absent from their home overnight:

a) For skilled employees: NOK 23.90
b) For unskilled employees: NOK 22.81.
The provision in No. 2 does not apply to employees who are quartered at the work site.

Wage provisions for employees who perform installation, maintenance and repair on electrical and automation facilities.

1. Employees who perform installation, maintenance and repair on electrical and automation facilities shall receive a minimum hourly wage of:

a) For skilled employees: NOK 148.06
b) For unskilled employees: NOK 125.57.

2. The following supplement to the hourly wage shall be paid for assignments requiring employees to be absent from their home overnight:

a) For skilled employees: NOK 22.21
b) For unskilled employees: NOK 18.83.
