New publication: Safety - status and signals 2009 - 2010

10.02.2010 | PSA’s annual report “Safety – status and signals” was released at a press conference on 10 February. Its articles summarise 2009 and look ahead at some of the most important health and safety challenges in 2010.

This is the fourth year that the PSA publishes an annual report in a magazine format. Target readers for Safety – status and signals are society in general and the industry in particular.

The ambition with the publication is expressed in its title. The articles it presents summarise the past year and illuminate the industry’s most important safety challenges.

This year’s issue is divided into two, with part one covering the PSA’s five main priorities in 2009. These were management and major accident risk, preventing harm to the environment, technical and operational barriers, groups exposed to risk, and extending production life safely. Goals and ambitions for 2010 are also spelt out in this section.

Part two addresses a number of other subjects which have been and are key issues for the PSA.

Around 20 April every year, we also publish the facts section of our annual report in electronic format. This presents a more formal summing-up of the previous year, with figures and graphs. At the same time, we also publish the results of our trends in risk levels in the petroleum activity (RNNP) survey.

The Safety – status and signals publication is published both in hard copy and electronic versions.
