Regulatory officials from all nations with ongoing or proposed offshore oil and gas activity are invited to attend.
The First International Regulators Offshore Safety Conference was hosted by the UK Health & Safety Executive in London in the Spring of 2005. Attendees at the London conference strongly endorsed the idea of a follow-up event to further expand the offshore information network, discuss safety issues, compare regulatory approaches, and learn more about collaborative international safety projects.
We believe this will be another outstanding conference and are expecting offshore regulators from 30-50 countries. The conference will include presentations from senior regulatory and industry officials, updates on regional issues, and new information on the IRF’s important crane safety, incident data gathering, and performance measurement projects.
Roundtable discussions will offer attendees the opportunity to compare practices and approaches, learn about technological developments, and exchange views with a diverse group of regulators.
There will also be opportunities to speak informally with industry officials and regulatory counterparts from around the world.
