The Petroleum Safety Authority is a member of The International Regulators Forum - an informal group of oil and gas regulators from Australia, Brazil, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
This forum periodically hosts an International Regulators Offshore Safety Conferences The last one was held in 2007 in Miami.
The next conference will be arranged in Vancouver, British Columbia October 17 – 20, 2010.
Regulatory officials from all nations with ongoing or proposed offshore oil and gas activity and representatives of all industry stakeholders are invited to attend.
The purpose is to share experiences and to compare differences in regulatory approach and safety performance.
