The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate granted its consent for the use of Deepsea Bergen (DSB) on Heidrun on 14 October 2003.
Due to major delays, Statoil applied for an extension of this consent on 8 January to include well 6507/7-C-4, which the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved.
Statoil now needs to use DSB on D-1 HT2. The work entails washing of sand in the existing completion and installation of internal screens.
West Alpha was to have done this work in October 2003, but had to give up following operational problems.
The work on D-1 HT2 is expected to have a duration of 10-14 days, with start-up in the last part of March 2004.
