The consent relates to start-up and operation of new equipment in connection with low pressure oil production. The project has comprised work such as rebundling of compressors, upstream coolers, fluid separators , piping, manifolds and instrumentation.
The equipment was partially prefabricated on land and is now connected to existing equipment on Oseberg A and B.

Planned start-up is in February 2010.
According to Statoil, the modification will result in
- Higher recovery rate from wells with low reservoir pressure
- Accelerated production from wells with low reservoir pressure
- Improved robustness in relation to reservoir uncertainty
The following main activities have been carried out:
- Clearing and preparing construction sites offshore
- Building/rebundling new compressors
- Offloading and transport of new equipment and piping
- Lifting of new equipment such as coolers, scrubbers and manifolds
- Connection work and commissioning
- Start-up (to be done after consent is granted)
