Consent to exploration drilling with Deepsea Bergen

21.11.2003 | The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Statoil ASA its consent to exploration drilling of well 6507/8-7S, Kappa, using the mobile installation Deepsea Bergen.

The well is located 4 km south-east of Heidrun TLP, and the distance to land is about 155 km.
Deepsea Bergen (pictured) is an Aker H3-rig built in 1983 and owned by Odfjell Drilling AS. The installation received the NPD's ">Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in December 2001.
