Audit of several companies: Follow-up of groups exposed to risk

With a basis in the regulatory requirements, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway will audit the industry's own work to identify and follow up groups exposed to risk. The companies must demonstrate that they have functioning management systems in place which identify, map and follow up risk issues for the groups in question so that the working environment and personnel safety conditions are fully satisfactory.

The purpose of audit is to

  • evaluate the companies' systematic activities to identify and follow up groups which may be exposed to risk in their own activities,

  • to evaluate the cooperation between operators and contractors in the work to identify and follow up groups exposed to risk,

  • that the audit contributes to increased knowledge about groups exposed to risk in the petroleum activities, so that preventive efforts can be directed at the groups where the need and effect are the greatest.
