Background for the audit
The audit was carried out with a basis in the temporary regulations of 19 December 2003 relating to safety and working environment for certain petroleum facilities on land and associated pipelines. These regulations include the Major Accident Regulations.

Purpose of the audit
The purpose of the audit was to assess compliance with prevailing regulatory requirements in matters affecting the risk of a major accident. Priority topics during the audit were:

  • Risk mapping and follow-up.
  • Accidents and underlying causes of accidents.
  • How to map the employees' need for training.

Result of the audit
We did not identify any non-conformities or potential improvements during the audit.

Our main impression is that compliance with regulatory requirements within the audit's three main topical areas (risk mapping and follow-up, accidents and underlying causes and mapping of the employees' need for training) has been safeguarded in a satisfactory manner.
