Equipment and systems for collecting environmental data, reporting procedures and use of equipment and maintenance routines were reviewed during the audit.

Background for the audit
The background for the audit was that the quality of environmental data collection from Draugen is of great importance for the flying weather and flight control service offshore, weather-dependent operations in the activities, supply services and for society at large as a basis for Met.no's national weather database.
To achieve sufficiently accurate measurements, it is necessary to document that the accessible values have an accuracy that satisfies regulatory requirements.
Purpose of the audit
The purpose of the audit activity was to review relevant procedures for performing, maintaining and reporting on collection of environmental data, and to evaluate the standard of the systems and equipment on Draugen, cf. regulatory requirements stipulated in Section 25 of the Framework Regulations relating to data on natural conditions, Section 4b) of the Information Duty Regulations relating to requirements for retaining and and discarding data and Section 16 of the Facilities Regulations relating to instrumentation for monitoring and recording with reference to guidelines and to use of Norsok standard N-002. The regulatory requirements also include METAR (Meteorological Aerodrom Reports) observations.
Result of the audit
No nonconformities in relation to regulatory requirements were revealed.
However, during the measurement inspection we did identify some areas with potential for improvement, including deviations from the recommended standard Norsok N-002 for some of the measurement results in excess of the tolerances between the measuring apparatus for checking air temperature and the control instrument for humidity on Draugen and Met.no's traveling standard.
All equipment used for collection of environmental data was clean and in good condition (instrument cabin on the west side of the helicopter deck and the visibility and cloud base measurer).
The location of the anemometers at the top of the south crane is considered to be optimal as regards maximum free exposure.
The equipment was subject to the current inspection procedures for Draugen. The maintenance system for the equipment is part of SAP.
Controlling documentation for the maintenance system is found in the document "Strategy for maintenance of instruments and telecommunications equipment". The maintenance was performed by technical personnel on board Draugen. The annual maintenance is performed by the system supplier, MIROS.
