International agreements
The international agreements (MOU - Memorandum of Understanding) govern the cooperation between the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway and relevant safety authorities in the respective countries.

The MOUs relate to facilities where all of the involved parties have authority as regards safety.

Treaties
The treaties have been entered into between the Kingdom of Norway and the respective countries, and they deal with both safety and resource issues.

Therefore, the treaties affect several governmental bodies. The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has entered into MOUs in the field of fiscal metering of exported oil and gas.

A joint overview of treaties with the authorities of other countries is published on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website.
