Audit of Statoil – working environment at Johan Sverdrup

On 2 November 2017, we conducted an audit of Statoil's management of the working environment in relation to the design of the Johan Sverdrup facilities. The audit covered both phase one and phase two of the field development

Johan Sverdrup is an oil and gas field under development on the Utsira High in the North Sea, around 160 kilometres west of Stavanger. Water depth in the area is 110 to 120 metres.

Statoil is the field's operator. Production is scheduled to start in late 2019.

Objective
The objective of the audit was to assess whether Statoil's management of the Johan Sverdrup project is sufficient to enable the operating facilities to meet the working environment requirements as defined in the regulations. For Johan Sverdrup phase two, the aim was also to obtain information for evaluating a future plan for development and operation (PDO).

Result
No non-conformities or improvement points were identified.
