Audit of Faroe - well 2/8-18 S

On 28 February 2012, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) conducted an audit of Faroe Petroleum Norge AS (Faroe) in connection with the company’s first drilling activity on the Norwegian shelf.


Background
The audit targeted Faroe’s planning of activities in connection with the upcoming drilling of exploration well 2/8-18 S Clapton in production licence 440 S using the mobile facility Maersk Guardian.

The audit is part of our processing of the company’s application for consent to carry out this drilling activity.

Objective
The objective of the audit was to examine the company’s compliance with requirements relating to health, safety and environment management.

Result
No nonconformities were identified.

Improvement items were identified relating to the following:

• Capacity and competence
• Management system
• Follow-up of risk register and action plan
