The audits were part of a series on the same theme in six companies: two operators, two contractors in the SIP and M&M fields, and two drilling contractors. The purpose of also including operators was to shed light on their responsibilities as principal enterprises with regard to the coordination of HSE activities in the workplace.
The audits were conducted by means of the employers and employees in the companies providing written answers to various questions on the arrangements for employee participation. This was followed up by interviews at the PSA on 23 and 24 May 2017.
At Baker Hughes, a regulatory non-conformity was identified concerning arrangements for employee participation. We have asked Baker Hughes to report on how the non-conformity will be addressed by 30 June 2017.
At KCA Deutag, no regulatory non-conformities were found, but there was one improvement point. This related to weaknesses in the arrangements for genuine employee participation. We have asked KCA Deutag to report on how the improvement point will be addressed by 30 June 2017.
